I missed drawing RIO fanart
This time is a rather sad pic featuring Eduardo (Jewel's father).When the loggers came to the jungle and set fire to the trees, all the spix macaws flew away, but with the dense smoke, Jewel wasn't able to follow his father and she got lost. Meanwhile, Eduardo didn't notice Jewel was missing until it was too late. Desperately, he searched for his daughter between the flames and ashes, the falling trees and the smoke, while he got some of his feathers burnt, risking his life with the hope of finding his daughter.
Since it was too dangerous, Eduardo had to quit only to return later, hoping he would find her alive - or dead. But his little daughter, his little jewel was gone, and it was the humans' fault.

Yeah, its easy to understand why Eduardo hates humans. About Jewel's mother, she isn't mentioned on the film, but in a novel based on RIO 2, it is hinted that she passed away while Jewel was missing, so she should be alive when Jewel was separated from her parents.

i do my best to finish this.
i think that the fire surprised the flock and so will Jewel separated from their parent in the Chaos to escape from this.
Jewel survived this and a human found they and bring she on the Bird Sanctuary in Rio De Janeiro in Brazil.
Jewel's father came after this to search and not found she. That he thought that she not survive this.
But Jewel was alive and thought that their parent are dead because the humans in the many years.
In the many years escape Eduardo's flock from the human and go deeper and deeper in the Jungle to find a place to live.
that will answered a few questions from Rio and Rio 2 or more the question about Jewel's Past. My Story answered the question what happen is with the Parent from Blu. Here create i a complete story about Blu's Childhood with their Parents and a Story that tell how the both not give the hope in the many years that their child is alive.

I always wonderer why Blu and his family weren't living with a flock of Spix macaws, because at the beginning in RIO, you see baby Blu living near many different macaws, but none of them are spix macaws like him. So, why would his parents live alone and not with other spix macaws like Eduardo and his flock?
That's something I never understood about the first film.

to this question have i no answer why Blu's Parent live alone.
I can me only imagine that something is happen by them that the both live together with other macaws.
It is not to easy to create a complete new story for two new and unknown characters that never appear in Rio and Rio 2 or not say a word about them. But my theory is that Blu's Parent not belong to a flock to the begin.
I have never thinking about Roberto where it in Rio 2 Junior Novel was a hint that he was a Pet before join to the flock.

Actually I think Roberto was born as a wild macaw and kept as a pet when he was older. That would explain why he's terrified of humans, because, if he had been a pet since he was a chick (like Blu was), he would feel comfortable with humans (its hinted in the movie that the humans that kept him weren't bad, they gave him crackers and in a deleted scene, Roberto shows a ring in his leg to Blu, and it spells "Polly 
I mean, Roberto spoke of humans like if we were aliens, so I think he was born as a wild macaw and captured by humans, since I think he already feared them (like most wild animals do) andwhen he was kept as a pet he just freaked out.
