His face is a mix of Mufasa's and Mega/Leo's features, with a big mouth (with the lower jaw bigger that the upper one), small eyes and the THICKEST eyebrows in the African continent.

I kept his crooked/outlander-like snout, but made it less wrinkly.

The ears are pointy (similar to adult Simba in TLK1) and small, yet very visible 'cos there isn't that much hair in front of them (compare to Mufasa's ears, which are surrounded by a thick mass of hair and barely visible most of the time).

I decided to made Askari's mane incredibly long, covering his front legs and extending past his shoulders and belly, based on the Atlas/Barbary lion. He also has elbow tufts.

I'm guessing he was supposed to have bright green+yellowish eyes??? That's what I went for, at least.

It was a bit difficult getting Askari's colors since he only appears as a ghost, and personally, I don't mind if his color scheme here looks too similar to Mufasa's, Simba's or Kion's. He's their ancestor so I think it makes sense there would be some resemblance but who knows, I might tweak it a bit in the future. Click here to see Askari's colors better.
