Looking through my super old TLK fanarts I noticed that I have NEVER drawn Malka in the past, which is weird because he's my favorite character from Simba's five friends (Malka, Tojo, Tama, Kula & Chumvi) simply because his design is pretty unique, haha. So I decided to solve that by drawing the boy himself! Who's your favorite character from Simba's five friends?
(As always, colors are not 100% final and I might tweak them a bit in the future).
And before someone says "huh, his color palette looks too similar to Simba's" well, yeah. Malka was supposed to be a clone of Simba just with a more orange-ish pelt and slightly darker colors, I simply adapted his comic colors to the color designs we saw in the first film so yeah, the resemblence to Simba is intentional.
