I knew that she was eventually going to get it lopped off, but I still felt like for something that was essentially the defining trait of the main character (I know, I know, she's also an artist and really smart and wants the same inexplicable things that all the other Disney princesses want and sings about it) it kind of deserved a little more screen time. Because, if you ask anyone what they know about Rapunzel, the first thing they say is "Oh yeah, the princess with the hair." Not, "Oh yeah, that princess with the hair that gets chopped off and then has kids with her biological brother."
Ah well, I suppose it's pretty superficial whining on my part.
AND I KNOOOOW. I felt quite scandalized when they just had Flynn flop around like a rag doll with over friendly physics. I guess they had that scene in the trailers to try and draw in the young male demographic. You know, ACTION, FIGHTING, THINGS GETTING HIT, MALE LEAD NOT GETTING WHIPPED BY A GIRL WITH A FRYING PAN, YEAH. Though I must admit, how it played out in the movie made a bit more sense. You don't just magically regain cognizance of your surroundings after getting beat about the head with a blunt metal instrument.
