Description A comedian (Robin Williams?) once said that becoming a father greatly alters your perception in life; every other adult male becomes a potential child molester. I was thinking about that joke when I drew this.

The way I see it, no matter what he said, Zabuza was highly over-protective of Haku; Haku was his son. And despite Haku being Kenkai Genkin, there's just something about him that made you know he was somewhat insecure as a kid.

I just pictured this situation where Haku was easily thwarted by some stranger who probably did nothing more than offer him candy or smile at him, and Zabuza jumping to conclusions.

I like how this is coloured.

Thank god I found someone else who thinks that Zabuza is more or less a father figure to Haku, not a love interest. Bleagh! I mean, as much as I like the Naruto Ultimate FanFlashes, I don't like all of the jokes about Zabuza and Haku being a gay couple, or Itachi and Kisame, for that matter. Nice work, by the way!

I agree - while i have nothing against yaoi pairings (i admit to supporting some on my own) i feel that at times, they are just slamming them together for no good reason - or legal one for that matter. O.o

I wish there was more of them in the series, but they were hardly 2 volumes! I've even had someone tell me that they think it was the only real storyline in Naruto. The pwn.

I totaly agree with what you said, and can see it well in this picture. i know, many poeple keep saying how they think they're gay couple. It just doesn't sit well with me: if Kakashi said Haku was "younger than you (naruto)" that means he's younger that 12. The american stats say he's 15, but the Japanese stats say he's 11. And zabuza is 32 (japan) and 28 (america).

11yo with a 32? 15 with 28?

i'm interpreting it as father-son.

This is as adorable as it is hilarious, Rakshar!

I only just started getting into Naruto myself, and while I sometimes can't stomach the lead character, I do like the basic story and other characters. This is a great look into the funnier side of two of the more serious characters to enter the recent (Cartoon Network-wise) storyline. Great job!

Hey, I can identify with Naruto. And sadly enough, he is one of the most realistic characters exists. I guess that's why he buggs people. He's too accurate for a fantasy.

Zabuza and Haku are the BEST characters they came up with. On YTV we're nearing the end of the storyline with them, but man, thank god for Manga! i can relive the story over and over....
