Description
Comet core with debris.ΒSoftware Vue 10 Xstream.Β I changed the scene from spherical to normal, so I had to place everything back to new position. In that way Vue sucks, because there is no way to convert one type to another without messing up the whole scene. Maybe I am doing something wrong?
I placed the debris by hand. This way I had more control about location and size. Grouped some of the debris together, so I hadn't to place one by one. Did add some more volumetric lights to add variations in the plasma jets of the comet.

Vue can be very unstable, depends a lot of the individual computer, sadly. Important is always to use recent Video Card Drivers and System drivers in general. Also it may help to use a appropriate OpenGL settings. Fixed Pipeline can help a lot to remedy problems with the Video Card. Enough system memory is also highly important to evade issues with Vue. I have 8GB with Windows 7 64bit for example.

Recently I changed my video card from a Radeon AMD 5850 1GB to a Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 2GB. I can totally recommend the GTX 760, since it permits me to run Vue with Shader 4 all the time, without any issues refering OpenGL so far. As always, there is no garanty that the same hardware-setup works identically in another computer, but the chances are high.

A cross-fire setup will not do any difference for Vue, since it barely can use one video card and a maximum of 1GB memory. I believe you know this!? The only reason I can imagine to have a dual video card setup would be gaming!? For anyone doing 3D-graphics I would blindly recommend a recent Nvidia-Card, think only in the possibility to run those CUDA-Cores for specialized Renderer! Well, you already ordered them, so you have your good reasons.

I game a lot. Lol and I would get a nivida, but I can only use single slot graphic cards, and most are now double bracketed. so I am kinda stuck with what I got.

I also like gaming, right now (about 100 hours ingame) Skyrim with the Requiem Roleplay Overhaul.
Nowerdays I mostly play games that last long like for example Fallout 3, Stalker, Elder Scrolls, Witcher, GTA4 and Farcry 3. Looking forward to GTA5 and Witcher 3.

Assassins Creed had a bad start for me. I hated the first game once I noticed how repetitive it was and I uninstalled it before finishing, a rare honor!
And I think I tried the 3rd installment and it was like designed for game consoles, yuk. So another uninstall. From there on I ignore the series and nothing will change my mind.

Great addition to the original Ralf! The added debris looks really good...well placed...and the whole comet has a good sense of forward motion.
Excellent sequel image!! Β

Thank you Six-Kings. Working with volumetric lights in Vue is fun and gives really interesting results and the render times are minimal (1680x1050 Final, about 5 minutes). The debris are some standard Vue rocks (350 poligons) with a displacement texture applied and the result is very detailed. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
