How about one more deckhand aboard the Homeheroes universe?

Shiori Kazekawa, better known as Shiokaze, is an Ainu wokou (= Asian pirate of indigenous Japanese ancestry). Like some of the known depictions of a 'wokou', she is but a ronin (samurai with no master) that opted for the renegade life at sea, and that scar on her face along with all those bandages must give an idea of her carelessness as such. Although usually venturing by herself she doesn't mind teaming up with other pirates if the deal is profitable enough.

Her general design was inspired by Fujiko Fujio girls in general. But why is this sketch actually colored? First, because I needed to practice a new coloring technique learned at that digital art, animations and game creation school; second, because I had to provide a color scheme for a commission. Anyway, she's already scheduled to take part on the 4th Homeheroes webcomic story, apart from that she can appear on any other art around.
