The most common sleep paralysis demon, the shape-shifting dark mass may appear during sleep paralysis. They are able to manifest themselves through your stage of REM sleep and your apparent state of consciousness during. They usually appear in dark corners of your room or under your bed. They can also appear in your nightmares and they will inhibit the same behavior. Usually they stay static in one area, or fly around and change size. Despite their threatening appearance, they are harmless and vanish once you wake up.
