'The singing was beautiful and mesmeric; a simple shift in pitch, key or melody would shape the listeners tempers and desires.'

This piece of art was created for the Dungeons & Dragons Feywild fortune cards, of which further details can be found on my blog:

Conveying the sense of magical singing was key to this image, and the halo effect works well to convey that and draw focus to his face.

Additionally I chose a view looking down upon Andronus to make him less threatening and more open.

The palette is also nice and warm and harmonious.

Thanks. I occasionally use photos, and I use a mirror for hands/facial expressions, but usually I make it up.
