"Wherever blood is spilled in anger the Red Knight rides."
This piece shows a Goddess rearing above a battlefield. I wanted to carry the feeling of mist into the figure to help create the air of a supernatural apparition, this was achieved by blurring and softening the edges of the figure. The cloak is a key example as it dissolves into the background.

I adore this. Amazing efects and she definitely looks powerfull. To me, it looks like a mirage, where it seems to be rooted on the ground but doesn't really conect to the earth.
Great piece!

"Ride out with me. Ride out and meet them."
"For Death and Glory. "
"For Rohan. For your people."
"Yes...yes. The horn of Helm Hammerhand shall sound in the deep one last time! Let us draw swords together. Fell deeds awake! Now for Wrath! Now for Ruin, and the Red Dawn!"
That scene came to mind immediately.

The goddess and her horse look larger-than-life. The effect of her cloak fading into sky and her mount's ankles fading into the ground make for a visually appealing focal point!

It's something of a shame that I can't get this as a $40 or so print. I really love this piece, but don't have the $300 to buy the original. Oh, well, at least I can appreciate it here.
