Maaan all of the pages are terrific, I've got no words to comment this (I could write many "awesome"s, but.. uh.. that's been done already ). Seriously, this is great stuff and Ragazza Pipistrello should get her own ongoing series only because she has the coolest name in comics.

oh man, thank you sir!
Ragazza Pipistrello got her name accidently by
my love to Batgirl - that´s what her name means in italian
but you might know. she will be featured in
several comicprojects like "SpaceSpartan" and
"Donald & Simon" and sure she gots her own "series" or
book, which starts where this story ends here.
i´m planning it for a long time now, but i have forgot
the most cause i planned it in my sieve-like brain...

Ah, I see! I knew "ragazza", but had no idea what Pipistrello meant. Half of my family is from Italy but I only know a couple of words. It's kind of tragic, actually.

I know what you mean about forgetting the stories you planned, it happens to me as well. My last attempt at doing a big, gigantic epic (!) ended after 2 pages because I forgot some of the stuff I had thought about, and because I decided that art-wise, I was going to go in another direction.

The best method I can think of right now is to write down some stuff, kind of an structure to know where the story is going, and then to go ahead and make things up while drawing, to keep it fresh and fun to do. I don't know if it works in real life, though, but it might be worth trying

Anyways, I'll be looking forward to seeing more of Ragazza Pipistrello!

yep, write it down along with the sketches is good
and some organisation of the sketches and stuff is helpful, too.
i´m drowning in staples of sketches and i search me to death,
gladfully i have some stuff on the PC saved in folders, but
the most is elsewhere.

in some ways it´s good to have a partner, who hopefully is
a bit more arranged withhimself and has a bit more organsisation

Yeah, I'm also balancing myself between being very chaotic and trying to be a bit organized as well. But I can't help thinking that we can't get rid of the visceral stuff, really. I don't really think there is such a thing as a perfect method to do comics (or "creative" stuff in general), but I guess you're right about having a partner-- maybe Alejandro Jodorowsky or Alan Moore are available right now? Should we ask them if they're willing to give us a hand?

there you named the 2 best, so there would
nobody offended by getting passed one or another.
do you know if jodorowsky resides in europe or
brazil/argentina/venezuela at the moment?

I absolutely agree-- the greatest by far! I believe he lives in France, and every wednesday (I think it was on Wed.) he goes to a café and reads tarot for free to the people, how cool is that? I know he was here in 2005, he did this kind of conference, I didn't even know about that at the time, but I downloaded the video, very entertaining stuff. Have you seen his movies?

i think it´s these "Jodorowsky Constellation" movies?
i have some bits of it, but never the full.
it´s a shame they don´t translate his books, which
must be about 15, about such things and psychological stuff.
i only had his novel "Donte mejor canta un pájaro"(in german),
which reads like a comic but is about his family...fantasy family,
but very funny and psychedelic.

hmm, i have to get my ass to paris...or an email

I didn't know about "Joderowsky Constellation", is it a DVD set? He did very few movies, I still need to catch a few. From the ones I've seen, the one I liked better is "El Topo", written, directed, and starred by Jodorowsky himself. He also did the soundtrack (seriously!) That movie is awesome, quite possibly the best I've ever seen right with Jim Jarmusch's Dead Man. Anyway, I've got to tell you, the first time I saw it I didn't have much idea of what was going on-- it has many symbolisms and stuff, I guess, it's definitely on the surreal side, though if you look a few pictures of it on the internet, it does look like a western. Anyways, I'm thinking that visually it's so intense that I didn't care I wasn't understanding much of the story. So it's that powerful

Last summer I entered into a bookstore here in Buenos Aires, and was surprised to find many of his books, back then I only had enough money to buy 2 of them, so the ones I picked were Donde mejor canta un pájaro (brilliant), and Psicomagia, where he basically explains this theory/method (I don't really know how to name it) he developed, which, basically consists on healing through art. Besides explaining this, he names a few examples where he would advice people to do things such as drawing self-portraits using menstrual blood, and other stuff. Interesting!

I need to find the rest of his books as well (and comics! I haven't read that much of them...)

here´s some of the constellation [link]
on the sidelinks you can continue on, but not far

"el topo" i have seen and "santa sangre". the movie
i wanna see hard is "holy mountain" [link]
you can see in just the trailer all influenca for the coming 70s/80s
comics.

Donde mejor canta un pájaro is very cool and i made some illustrations
of it for a contest we had at our artschool.

Hey thanks for the links, man. For some reason I can't see the videos, I guess it's my internet connection that seems to act weird when it rains. Damn technology! I'll make sure to see the Constellation video when this thing decides to work again...

"Holy Mountain": I've downloaded that one last year, but the (illegal!) file was wrong so I only got to see the very first 15 minutes of the movie and... well, I was hooked. I'm very looking forward to seeing that one as well. "Santa Sangre" was alright, I liked it, but El Topo was too much! There's also a movie he did around 1967, which was an adaption of a play by writer from Chile, "Fando y Lis", that one's interesting as well, it's shot in B&W.

Any chance of seeing the illustrations you did based on the book?

my connection doesn´t work when it´s raining, too.
nah, it´s not working when it´s fog. damn antenna.
i hope to get the holy mountain from a filmcrit, who´s
writing a short story for me. hope, hope. maybe i can
send it then to you
fando y lis is waiting in the videostore ready to rent.
it looks like a Bande apart on LSD

i see if i can upload them sometime. best drawings are with the
ugly guitarplaying trio with his mothers sister...errr...

Well, I hope you get to upload them! I'm curious about what you drew, I thought the book was so visual that it should be made into a comic book
