Hi everybody, to keep things short this is part one of a series that I did early last year around this time featuring Lego Ice Planet 2002. I am going to see if I can get one scene done a day leading up to the Christmas.Related content

The new Arctic stuff harkens back to this in many ways. Orange and blue are quite prominent there too.

Yup! I love those Arctic sets a lot, speaking of which, they might make a appearance sometime in the future, weather permitting.
Would love to see a revival of this theme, call it Ice Planet 2002 Neo or something.

LEGO, the company, seems to be branching out, making movies and video games more and more. If it were to feature prominently in a movie, I suspect demand would drive a "revival" of the theme.

I would have to agree my friend, hopefully we see some kind of revival in the future, along with something along the lines of Rock Raiders as well.

Agreed. I have definitely been a little skeptical (Nexo Knights anyone?), these older sets seem to have no problem pulling off their color schemes quite well.
