My entry for the contest that is having. The whole basis of it is to draw a cover for a supposed TT doujinshi (which is a fan-manga, kind of). It doesn't have to be a real comic, just a cover. And, I stink at comics, so it was perfect to just be able to do a cover xD

So, I drew the cover for (surprise, surprise!) a RobinxStarfire one, because I have no life o_o The whole basis for the comic would be either a "What if..." or an AU story. If it were the first, it would take place during the Apprentice episodes, and talk about what occurred during Robin's apprenticeship (side stories that weren't in the show), or be as if he had stayed an apprentice and been completely forced into evil, thus becoming a villian and having to constantly fight against his friends. It was mentioned that he seemed to enjoy living that lifestyle, so there would be internal conflict between good and evil and the like. If it were an AU, it would be him having always been working with Slade. Either way, it would somehow lead to a twisted and angsty romance xD The whole idea is inspired incredibly by Aries9919's story, "Kiss With Open Eyes", which I found incredibly cool *squeals*. That's the reason Robin is wearing that style of mask, and the reason for the tatoo (which is, I now notice, somewhat crooked o_o). I called it "Thank You for the Venom", which is a song by My Chemical Romance, and I've never heard it (I've actually never even listened to the bad, either xD 'cept the end of "Helena"). I just read the lyrics and a part of it seemed to fit (it had something to do with "You're running after something that you can never kill" or something like that). And, the title just seemed nifty xD So, creation of the title goes completely to them.

Art note wise, I wanted to go for the overally anime/manga style, and have a cover that really has nothing to do with the overall story, despite Robin being "evil". I doubt I achieved the manga feel though, really. I made Star wearing just a random, somewhat flowy outfit for no real particular reason >> The colour of it all was a achieved through an awesome filter I discovered somehow today xD It made a lot of the colouring seem lighter, though, especially the shading. But, I thought it looked neat. I realize that this might seem a bit mature to some (nothing's really going on), so I apologize if you are bothered by it.

Robin's body is off, I realize, and his position is awkward. I wanted to make him lanky-like, though. The only thing that really, completely bothers me is his arm, but I didn't really notice it until it was too late >< Hopefully it's not too bad xD

But, yeah... I think that's about it xD Hopefully it's up to par with the other pictures that are being submitted into the contest (and hopefully my internet actually allows it to work >> ). And, I hope you all like it ^^
