Batou was the one character in the whole series, either manga or anime, that held everything about Section 9 together.Β The manga was a trip as the artist could have the people really freak out and get bitching with one another.Β The anime was laid back but heavy on the violence and combat.Β The Major was pretty eye candy but capable of getting the job done.Β When it comes down to brass tacks, my moneys on Batou.

omg those cute little robots were awsome and that time when one of them malfunctionedΒ cause of the wrong oil. i just had a laught. almost feel sorry for them after major suspended them.

Yeah, he is the better human operative whilst the major is a better net operative. And hey he has a charm that makes you root for him, along with care and consideration for his colleagues. (Tachikoma included)
