I did and now I know why you like Longo.
I respect him but I think his work barely surpases a high quality illustration, and sometimes it does not. His grasp of form is a bit superfcial, depending more on the good photograph he chooses to depict.
I beleive that drawing from life is vital to understand form in a deeper level and he abandoned this in order to achieve quick and first hand impressive results... I think
You have good craftmanship and patience I sugest you keep on working from life, photos are just a moment in time and space whereas real things are... there

Estudiando unas tecnicas de dibujo me di cuenta qeu es casi asi como el trabaja el hace sus dibujos con la misma tecnica pero usa pinceles para hacer degradados con el carbon que es mas truqueado , pero el tuyo es ecepcional lo qu eno comprendo es como las manchas pueden decir mas que los trazos definidos por que? tiene algo que ver conel cerebro o que??

La mancha sugiere más cosas ya que no está definida, sí es una cuestión de percepción.
