This one just a little more because of the nice color contrast.
What I really like about this picture is the angle and the pissed-off look on Rumble's face. He's about to charge! Great work

The piledrivers help as a visual, but it's more scary when all he's gotta do is stomp really hard instead. And he ain't even that big.

Heh... better'n that, he doesn't even need to stomp - that's Sludge's trick. Rumble just has to stand there and get the drums rolling...

Rumble's one of my favorite characters, and this is a great rendition...
While I like the "vibrations from his chest-drums" thing that the tech specs had goin', I gotta grant, the piledrivers were good visual shorthand.

Thanks a lot. I agree, the piledrivers worked visually; some people need to actively see what's happening or they miss the point of what's happening (sort of like the reason Gambit was left out of X2). But while I can quite cheerfully deal with the mass-shifting, the magical-mystical morphing arms I had more trouble suspending my disbelief on.
Even moreso when Frenzy started doing it as well...

Sort of. Both Rumble and Frenzy had twin drum-like constructions housed in their chest.
When Rumble's span, they generated low-frequency vibrations, which he channelled through his feet into the ground, creating earth tremors (that's what's happening here).
Frenzy's scraped against each other, creating a high-pitched grating sound which'd put everyone's nerves on edge, in the manner of fingernails on a blackboard.

Anywho... what can you do? If you were raised with the cartoon, I guess it's easy to be tricked into thinking it's right, now matter how many times it tries to convince you otherwise...

I know itΒ΄s FIBRIR but the RIBFIR names seem more appropriate to me. Rumble as in sound. Which is often depicted as blue/purple waves. And I feel the colors of blood and darkness seem to fit Frenzy's name imho.
