Description Siwolves are the main predators on the Lost Continent, where only the mesopods reach larger sizes. Being almost as big as yetipillars but with less bulk, these flightless pneumonopteres are among the largest of their phylum, as well as its fastest runners. Their elongate bodies allows more space and mobility between the leg pairs, but hamper their maneuverability, since pneumonopteres have a stiff body. The siwolf species have a very wide food range, with the small species feeding on smaller tetragnathes, pneumonopteres and tentaculopods, while the larger species compete with the mesopods by hunting the large herbivorous tentaculopods or even hunting down smaller mesopods themselves. Siwolves are fairly intelligent and usually live and hunt in pairs, with some species forming packs out of several cooperating pairs or a pair and their older offspring. They communicate both by postures as well as by a wide range of sounds created by their spiracles, atrophied wings, gnashing their lip teeth together or by drumming their legs on the ground.

Greater bullsnatcher: Bullsnatchers are solitary ambush predators. They possess short, very strong legs with enlarged claws that allow them create a lot of traction to restrain their prey until the venomous saliva takes effect. The greater bullsnatcher is, along with the largest of the pack-hunting siwolves, the only species that can take down larger mesopods.

Snail monkey: This omnivorous group lives exclusively in trees, where it uses its long lips to snatch up small prey items as well as lap up the gonophore excretions of different vermiphytes. Its median eye, which is lost in all other siwolf groups, reemerged to better cope with the three-dimensional surroundings, a development similar to the reemergence of wings in several groups of Earth's phasmids. The wings are widened at the base and allow the snail monkeys a limited gliding ability.

Lots of legs. Good for high gravity.

Red Earth's gravity isn't significantly higher, though. The way their legs work make loss of pairs a bit tricky.

Traditional art?
You sir/ma'am, have an amazing talent with those colored pencils. I hope to one day reach this level of skill.

Actually, the colouration is done digitally on a grayscale drawing done with aquarel pencils. I classify the pictures as traditional, because that's where most of the work goes into.

Ohhh okay. Still though, impressive. It'd be nice to learn to do that, since I like using my charcoals so much.

It's pretty easy, after selecting the silhouette of the creature I paint in the colours by setting the brush into "soft edges" mode.
