Done for a contest All Mediums Contest: 10 years from nowDear members,projecteducate is happy to announce yet another contest that is open to all art mediums! This time around our prompt is related to the recent 18th Birthday of DeviantArt! Find out more by reading all the information below:
The Prompt:
No matter how old we are, we all have goals, aspirations and visions for our future. For this contest, I'd like you to reflect on where you would like your life to be in 10 years. I want you to create a piece of art that somewhat represents you and your life in ten years. It does not need to be in an obvious way, for example it doesn't need to be a portrait of you in the future, or a drawing of your future mansion, or anything like that. It could be something more profound, like perhaps a painting representing what you will have accomplished, or a sculpture of a lotus flower to represent the spiritual awakening you hope to have gone through. What I'm saying is, there are many ways to approach this theme, and it does not

J'aperçois par hasard cette dame
Tout juste derrière la vitrine
Mon coeur soudain alors s'enflamme
Sous le vif effet de l'adrénaline
Le coeur bien trop lourd,
Un café plus que léger
Ce monde aveugle et sourd,
Ne pourrait hélas m'écouter.
Devenue centre de ma gravité
Mes pensées ne tombent que sur elle
Je ne saurais dire ce que c'est
Mais dit-on qu'il s'agit là de l'étincelle
Le monde, alors à mes yeux, s'est arrêté
La petite dame au café du coin de la rue
Floutée par la foule au mouvement saccadé
Reçoit mon amour anonyme qu'elle n'avait attendu.

This is an amazing painting, and your friend is a really talented poet! I just love the sense of movement around the characters that are still, it indeed feels like the world stopped for them! The rough painting artstyle really gives to that sense of motion, as well as the details for the immobile characters! Very lovely, there's something dreamy and romantic about that piece of art, it's wonderful!
