I read an article on micro-agressions and how hurtful they are, and worse, easily overlooked or handwaved by claiming the victims are overly sensitive ("You are so articulate", implying it was unexpected). I'm not sure how one can be overly sensitive about being touched on the hair without permission, but the idea persists. The discussion about these lingering injustices and misconceptions feels more intense lately, and there are still many more things to be said about many groups most people were barely aware existed, and would rather have suffer on quietly; I for one am glad that time is over. And the sooner we get to the point where everyone understands being the same and being equal are not necessarily the same, the sooner we can get on to more lovely subjects. Like how to design the Mars base and stuff like that.
