This totally caught my eye tonight! I LOVE how Goth and how very Poe-like the image is. The woman is so dark, mysterious, and totally sinister! She's like a dark high priestess, an evil oracle, or a shadowy sorceress. There is just so much amazing about this painting! Something about her also reminds me of the Dust Witch from Something Wicked This Way Comes (the Movie, naturally). I always loved that movie, and that character from it, so that's a plus in my book. What can I say? This is just plain a classic piece.
