Description
This is a portrait of my friend Sarah. What inspired me to draw her was her eyes. They are a brillant and deep blue wonder that I tried to capture, but was unsuccessful.Size: 8.5" x 11"
Hours: approx 8
Medium: Graphite
Tools: Prismacolor 2b Turquoise graphite pencil, Prismacolor 6b woodless graphite pencil, rubbing stump, Black Pearl eraser, and Needing Eraser.

thanks. This scan was after i added to the hair. I'm always improving and changing my style trying to achieve a more realistic portrait, like this one i did a few months ago; [link] Right now I'm trying something new with the hair on a current project. I learn a lot from Anthony Wood [link] maybe you can as well.

Brilliant! I think you captured her eyes nicely. Though I haven't seen them in colour, they definitely drew me in! You're amazingly talented!

Haha, Thanks. I guess you can't really tell they are blue. I may have to go back and accent the eyes with color. That would show major emphasis. Thank you for the wonderful words.

When I get a chance I'll dive back into some color. It's been several years since I've done a color study.
