That anatomy though! xD Looking awesome! And I really like how you drew that back wing.
The few scales on his neck and body is a nice touch; gives the illusion that he is indeed scaled. c:
I dunno if that lighter blare in the top right corner is a camera flash, but I think it works well with your shading.
You did a nice job on this one for the time spent! And in charcoal, wow!! xD That stuff is so messy.
Overall, I really like this one.

There's still room for improvement! I don't like the head shape xD Thank you! I'm trying to improve on wings, they were always a pain in the butt C:
Oh, that lighter area is a combination of light from my lamp and the paper there is actually white, there's sun there xD
Thanks again! I kinda messed up a lot, but decided that I'll still upload it C: I'm very happy that you like it ;w;

You're welcome! ^^ Well, your improvement is definitely rapid and very evident so far. I'm really impressed. c:
Yeah, sometimes I can't get wings to look right. I've found that trying to replicate other artists' wings helps a lot. Then you memorize basic shapes and various poses for them.. well, the way I learn anatomy and stuff is just weird. XD; It's a lot of memorization.
Ohh, I see! Hahaha, well it still works. x3
Absolutely! Always post your stuff, even if you don't particularly like it. If it's a finished drawing like this one, surely someone will want to see and appreciate it -- like me!

Aww, I'm glad that you noticed my improvement! It's something I take pride in. You know, I'm drawing for barely 2 years. The first serious drawing I ever did was on May 1st 2013, and I just can't believe I improved so much It's magic.
Oh yes, wings are just soo hard xD But the way you learn anatomy is pretty good actually! I do it in a similar way. I look at good artists, study their anatomy, then I change it so it fits me and makes sense to me and then I learnt something xD
I should do that more often, I post like 25% of my drawings here, mainly because half of my art ends in the garbage can : I I tend to get angry at myself when I mess up in the sketching stage xD
Aww, you don't know how much it means to me when I hear that you appreciate my art Thank youu C:

That's incredible, yes! You should be proud. Apparently my talent is similar; my parents say I've always been way ahead of my age in terms of artistic skill. Drawing every single day helped too, I think. x3 Haha, I would agree that it is magic! Definitely keep it up.
Thanks, I thought it made some sense. xD; I've never really had many "good artists" around me to look off of, so I honestly haven't had idols or very helpful teachers throughout my life. (That sounds hella pompous, doesn't it? But it's true. ) I am almost 100% self-taught through observance and practice, and that is what I hope to make a career out of.
Not to say that having idols or looking at other artists' work isn't the way to go -- that's probably equally helpful since, in the end, we both use references from sight and memory. And people think art isn't complicated or worth anything.. humbug. XD
Oh my gosh, that's sad! D: I only throw away like, 1% of my stuff. ;-; Even if I think it looks like complete crap, and I'll never finish/use it, I keep it somewhere knowing that it will be funny or even encouraging to look back on in later years. But hey, at least you haven't thrown away THAT much, considering how long you've been drawing.
Bahhh, no problem. x3 I really do enjoy seeing your stuff, just remember that! c;

Thank you Oooh, that's nice! So I take it your parents are supporting you in your art? That's great C: Of course it does help - I've been doing the same and the amount of improvement is pretty damn big xD My parents don't really know I'm that into art - they saw like, 2 drawings I did and they went "wow : o" and that's about it xD
Hehe, you're welcome! I did have one friend that really helped me in the beginning, but that's about it xD I'm mostly self-taught as well. Fun fact is, I nearly failed art class in 5th grade xD
Yup! It doesn't matter what method people use as long as they don't upload traced art or anything C: lol I hate those kinds of people xD Art is very very complicated
Yeahh, not really, I'm actually throwing away way less stuff now because I put effort into things ^.=.^ Which reminds me I should sort my big pile of drawings lol. You're lucky! Oh yeah, that totally makes sense xD Must be a good laugh in a few years. Yeah, I still have my first drawings somewhere! Somewhere... Now I kinda want to find them xD Yaay, I'm really glad you like looking at my art, it means a lot to me ^.=.^ I love your art as well! C:
