I ultimately believe Crona is a boy all around... That he just apparently cross-dresses... I can't really see him being a girl... If you aren't reading it in English, it might say "her" and "she"... I dunno where you live, so I'm just assuming you live in America...
All I know is that it says "he" and "him" in the manga I read...
Like when Maka kicked the door of Medusa's jail cell and said "What did you do with Crona? Where did you take 'him'?" That's what I remembered... She didn't say it exactly like that, but you know...
