Description
With each soul-crushing word I choked out that nightKnowing for truth it wouldn't turn out quite right
But that point was lost - complete with high cost,
What's done is done, but felt like suicide
Despite each meaningless mantra I called out to you
On that rain soaked, filthy bridge to make sure you knew
The pain that was felt - the ice never melts
So I'm blaming this all on you
I know I may not live up to all you expect
Or be quite the one your love's aimed to inflict
But it won't change a thing, or more sadness, bring
Or cause minds to cease conflict
So do what you can and soak up the blame
And eventually, maybe you won't find shame
In something so bright - it will never die
And maybe one day you'll realize the same
