Description
Crap title - I didn't know what to call it :<This started off as a lil attempt at some sort of Giger style piece. I was whackin' cogs and allsorts all over the shop. Though for the most part it looked crap.
Eventually after playing a bit I came up with this.
One of these days I'll stop playing about with eyes and actually learn how to do stuff - or get a job to buy a wacom.

1) It's a manip of a stock photo, and I always feel as though I'm taking credit for stuff I shouldn't be with them

Well, for the one above... all I pretty much did was:
1) Edit the ... coloured bit - can't remember what it's called right now. But I edited the colours on it, from lightish blue to the green you see. All the fancy 'nebulaic' stuff you can see in it was done by the art program... I just changed the colour
2) Then, I applied a 'rust' image over the whole piece. This was at about 20% opacity, and I obviously cut out around the eye...
3) No wait, there is no 3 ... That's it!

Look at my recent submission, 'Manipionist'. That was my attempt to duplicate your technique. See the difference? Yours looks good. mine looks like a good attempt. Its ok if you dont have any suggestions, but I contend that your picture is awesome. Enough said.
