well this sport does come with alot of benefits, other than the history behind the "sport". 1st of all it helps alot of foundations and non profit organizations with their annual average of 3 BILLION a year. 2nd of all turning left for five hours to make 100 to 200 thousand a week....sign me up for driving school! on top of the fact that this sport has their mistakes (crash and burns) and the drivers determination to win (lots of great photo finishes) make it the 2nd most watched "sport" in the world (topped only by football)! and i really understand your opinion (cause its not really fun to watch at home(then again...so is foo-)) but if you go down to one of the tracks and see the cars drive by, you will see how fun it really is.

And on the same token its my opinion that making the same tired joke that glances over the sport, quickly lampooning someone else's interests is stupid and uninteresting. Even if you hate NASCAR try to be insightful about it. Try to come up with something new something that will even give a diehard NASCAR fan like myself pause- something to consider. I mean if turning left is stupid then what about the same joke over and over again with slightly different wording!
