though I've owned MANY VWs, I have never seen one with the turn signal inside the headlamp housing such as this.  What year is it, if I may ask?

Definitely a 60's Beetle.  I've owned 2 Super Beetles, 1 SquareBack.  Love the Beetles.  No one works on them here anymore.

Really nice photo I like the look of it and the amount of the car you captured is great! It's not the full front which I think keeps it interesting

Thanks It was also about all I could fit in the frame of my Polaroid at that angle! I have more photo's of this car to process on my digital. Should be fun
