Description You: ....Umm, why is this one so short?
Other guy: Can you do an HDG on the Detroit Lions?

This is probably going to be the shortest Month Review to date because... Well, what else was happening besides that infectious little plague going around? The Coronavirus: A virus that officially has more nicknames than The Rock at this point. From comical shit such as "Corona-Chan", to the controversial name of "The Chinese Coronavirus" but that opens a whole can of worms so let's move on. I kept this one short because frankly I'm really sick (no pun intended) of hearing about this plague now. Yet it seems to be on everyone's minds and social media newsfeeds as of late.

From "Morally Challenged" idiots panic buying bogroll, to countries going into full on lockdown, 2020 is already shaping up to take 2016's crown of "Worst Year Ever!" (according to normie filth because I still say 2006 was the worst year ever for me). The only things I could find that were non Corona related was the New Warriors car crash (which I've covered in a previous rant) and the possible rise of Joe Biden which I'm not talking about until the primaries are officially over... Though if my prediction comes true I'll save that for 2021 cus I'm calling it now: The Election will be delayed.

You will notice I've added a new section to this paticular MR. "The Celebrity Infections" is to document all the confirmed cases, and to even out the Celebrity Deaths, so feel free to say "You forgot *list of infected*" as well as "You forgot *list of dead*" in the comments.

I'm taking the rest of the week off, so there will sadly be no April Fools joke tomorrow (which is a shame cus I did want to do Into the Spider-Verse as this years gag) cus I'm really not in the mood and I've physically burnt out at the moment. I'm doing a series of longplays throughout the week to help me unwind. Sonic Forces was yesterday, and today is South Park: The Stick of Truth.

As always: Stay safe everyone.

When I saw "David Wise" among the Celebrity Deaths, my first thought was "The Donkey Kong Country composer?!" I checked to be sure, though, and I presume you were referring to the TV writer. Also, Asterix co-creator Albert Uderzo died last month as well.

You can do the April Fool's joke late. That's what OR3O did with "Broki Broki Forever".

(Funny enough, 2D said 'forever' in my Gorillaz song just as I typed that...)

WAIT, WHAT?!??!

Stuart Gordon is dead? Goddamnit...
I would've loved to see him try another crack at schlocky horror with a Netflix production or something, that gives him enough production values and more liberty. Maybe not a celebrated name like Sam Raimi, but still a great talent that should have staid longer.

We're not having a good start with this new decade.

It seems that way.

What makes you so certain that 2021 will be abysmal?

Because he's probably certain that the pandemic will still be kicking everyone's asses (THANK FUCKING GOD!) well into 2021 and probably until it tries to erase the human record.

That as well.

But when I said it will be abysmal, I did mean that a lot of projects planned for next year will not happen. Some business may fold or take awhile to fully recover. Movies scheduled for a 2021 release won't happen now. And other mild irritances this pandemic has caused will be all present.

I think it’s a bit soon to say that EVERYTHING will be cancelled or closed down in 2021. And on a related note, I’m sure the US elections will still be taking place In November. The pandemic can’t last that long.

I get on why people are scared but the panic shopping took it a bit too far and I too am getting tired of hearing about it, even when I tell people not to talk to me about it, I keep hearing about it.

It's one of those things that I just want to end but I feel it won't any time soon. And our Prime Minister isn't doing a good job of handling it but at least, it's not as terrible as it's like in America but my god, we still have stupid people going to beaches after they were told not too.

Anyway, I'm happy that Animal Crossing x Doom Eternal existed, even if it had no reason to be (other than they were both released on the same date since they missed 2019 due to delays).

Wait you do longplays? Sorry if it seems off topic

I mainly like to play games from start to finish. I don't have a channel for them or record myself, I just do it for my own amusement.

I do appreciate that.

I like to do a "start till finish" job with some games I know can be beaten in one setting. Games like Arkham Asylum and Stick of Truth for example.

2020 is FAR worse than 2004-06. And that's only because of this bloody pandemic. If it happened in the 2000s, I would've jumped off the nearest bridge.

Mind you, if it did happen in the 2000's, we could have had a gem like this.

George W Bush: I hear on the internets, that people are scared of this here "Coronavirus!" Just drink Budweiser instead, hehehehehe.

Speaking AS someone who grew up in the 2000s....it wasn't worth it. 2008, maybe. Everything else? Like the worst parts of the '90s, minus the endearing cheese. And EVERYONE wore black.Β

At least the 2010s have better technology and games- -sees the entirety of the PS2 library glaring at me-. Nevermind, the 2000s had better games.

If it weren’t for the games, I’d have skipped from 1999 to 2010.
