I decided to watch Nintendo's "conference" second because there was this odd atmosphere on Facebook today. Like people were really excited about something inpaticular. Considering how easily people were excited with Microsoft's demonstration I began to fear the worst!

One thing I was very grateful for was the time frame of the presentation. A solid 40 minutes focused on actual games and nothing else. That's what bugged me about Microsoft's presentation. There was too much focus on stuff I didn't care about or too much time of plebs in suits, pretending to "be having fun" talking about "social interactions" when the only social interaction they truly care about is money changing hands!

Here, it was "Here's a game, now here's another one!" basically Nintendo just got to the point and for all my grumblings about them in the past I actually appreciate the fact they cut the bullshit and got on with it!!

Speaking of which, the games.

#1 - Pokemon X & Y
I sadly have to report my views of Pokemon haven't changed since January and I still have zero interest in this game. I'll be sticking with my GBA and DS copies of the franchise. A new feature demonstrates how they've combined Nintendogs with Pokemon?

Good thing I'm avoiding this!!

#2 - Super Mario 3D World
When I saw the beginning of the footage, I said to myself "Gee, I wonder how he'll save the Princess this time?" then the weirdest thing happened.... Princess Peach is actually playable and can use the same power ups as Mario? Is this what people were excited about? I think what's also great about this is it reminds me of the under rated Super Mario Bros 2, and this is the perfect rebuttal to annoying Feminist Extremists and there apologists *coughmoviebobcoiugh*

There you go Anita. Precious equality... now you can shut the fuck up!

Plus Mario can turn into a Cat... I might give this a look!

#5 - Wii Fit U
Don't care!

Iwata then addressed the issue of the Wii U not having the games people wanted and thanked the audience for being patient.... See Microsoft, it doesn't hurt to address your criticisms in public!!

#6 - Mii Verse
I'm not entirely sure what Mii Verse is. Is it like a watered down version of Xbox Live? It looks okay but I can't say I'm that overly excited about it.

#7 - Art Academy
A drawing game does sound pretty cool actually. I might give this a look.

While most of the announcements were okay it was Watchdogs that surprised me. I didn't think that be on the Wii U in all honesty. Sonic Lost World was a dead sert for me so now I can add Watch Dogs to that pile.... plus isn't Oddworld a Microsoft series?

#32 - The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD
While I mainly dislike Zelda as a whole. I really enjoyed Wind Waker and its good to see an HD remake of it.

#33 - The Wonderful 101
5 Players huh? That's new! It does look interesting but I think I'd like to try it out for myself before deciding.

#34 - Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
I did miss out on the Donkey Kong Country series growing up and this looks like a good solid platformer. Maybe I'm growing out of shooters and want something simple again. Might try this out for some platform fun.

#35 - Bayoneta 2
Devil May Cry with tits. Don't care!!

#36 - X
Looks okay but I can't say I'm that interested.

With the show nearly over I began to wonder why everyone was overly excited. I mean yeah Super Mario 3D World and the new Donkey Kong were cool and all but what was it that was so impressive to others?

Then this happened....

#37 - Super Smash Bros 4
We knew a new Super Smash Bros was coming but I didn't expect the 3DS version to look so amazing. The trailer showed off the in game graphics and while I was hoping for a Sprite based fighter, I have to admit the Cell Shaded look works for Smash Bros... and this coming from a guy who doesn't care about graphics. I did get a laugh out of the fact the Other M design of Samus was chosen. I wonder if Adam has to authorise her to use the Final Smash in this game

While I did feel the trailer could have been longer it did show enough to make me excited, but who the fuck is Villager and why should I care? Mind you it's kinda cute how they sent invites in the mail for newcomers... I guess Snake and Sonic's got lost in the mail when Melee happened. While it is cool newcomers will be here I just feel underwhelmed by "Villager" to be honest.

I mean isn't there a newcomer for this game I actually know or give a shit about?
