Description
Challenge made byThis is Colossopteryx paesi, a large azhdarchid with massive wings (~13 meters tip-to-tip) and comparatively short legs. It's similar to the outdated depictions of Quetzalcoatlus as a sea-going pterosaur, behaving somewhat like an albatross and staying offshore for days at a time, looking for fish or small marine reptiles to snatch off as they come to the surface for air.

Azhdarchids could indeed launch from the water (presumably for the rare instance they got stuck in), so imagining a swimming descendent isn't that far off, actually.

Interesting, I knew ornithocheiroids could take off from (and therefore spend time in) water thanks to Witton, but azhdarchids? That's a first.

I think you could fix the name issue by calling it Titanopterus.

Thanks!
Though I decided just using the original name, Colossopteryx.

It's funny that you asked me and I made one of the biggest pterosaurs ever, while HodariNundu made one of the smallest ever xD

Not satisfied with bullying Arambourgiana, they had to bully Syntarsus as well... and then, if that was not enough, a Miocene species named itself Tyrannasorus rex...
