Those who try to drag us down
They try to make our life a living hell
And we just have to try and march on
Trying to pretend that they don't bother us
Ghosts are real too
They are our past
Those memories that won't fade away
They follow us around every day like a shadow
And we just have to drag them along with us
Like a ball and chain
Monsters are real as well
They live inside of us
They are the feelings we try to hide
The sadness and anger we do not wish to show
And we just have to push them down
We have to burry them under a mask
What is the worst thing about this you ask?
There is no charm or spell to protect us from all these things
We cannot pray for them to go away
We have to face these things and hope we come away alright
