Description
This is the result of me finally figuring out how to use a tablet pen properly.Finishing off and looking over the final product felt glorious.
This started off as a completely pointless sketch I was doodling on the back of a piece of cardboard at work. I had finished up for the day but wasn't allowed to leave yet, so I grabbed the cardboard and a pen and started scratching out some curves and lines. After a few moments I decided that it was starting to look like a proto-drake from World of Warcraft, but the way I had shaped out the lower jaw looked suspiciously like metal.
It was then decided that this was, somehow, also a Zoid.
When I finished the sketch I was so happy with it that I decided to take it a step further and experiment with using the Burn and Dodge tools on Photoshop CS2 along with my tablet. I now don't have the slightest clue how I ever lived without them.
This is probably the only thing I have ever drawn that I didn't have some sort of problem or gripe with. The only issue was that I forgot some panel line details on the tail at one point, but that's been fixed since. Out of the entire image, I'd say I'm most pleased with how the head turned out, specifically the level of depth and curves of the 'teeth'.

This is pure awesomeness. It too me a few seconds to understand that this was a zoid version of the Proto-drakes from Warcraft. I think you did a good job in the translation from flesh and bone to living mecha.
