The new Koenigsegg, a crazy track car so named because it manages a power to weight ratio of exactly that - 1:1. 1340hp propels this beast to 60mph in just 2.8 seconds and on to 250mph in only 20 seconds - blisteringly fast. Top speed is 'around' 273mph, which probably just means that they haven't found a piece of road long and straight enough to properly test it yet!Want one? Too bad, all 20 that are being built have already sold out. Better keep your eyes on the used car classifieds!

Technically, only 6 were made, not 20. And it has a top speed of 280 mph.

They finally measured it? Back when I wrote that, they hadn't been able to pin a number on the absolute top speed, although the tyres have a speed rating of 273mph, so if you want to exceed that I suppose you do so at your own risk... or just find better tyres! Although you are right about the six being built rather than twenty, don't know where I read that. Well, actually, they did build an R&D car, which is what you see here, so technically they made seven. Guess we were both wrong!

Sadly, they'd need to produce 30 to take the production car speed record officially, and there will never be that many made. So close!!
