can I ask you a question? what program do you use to draw this? It's nothing particular it's just I've been trying out new programs, I've been asking this to a lot of people c:, it's cool though if you don't say I already have quite a few to trail out yet, just having a bit of fun with them all

but anyway I just use Sai and well used its brush shapes and texture for this one.
I recommend Gimp as well, it is such a great program and was my first xD (Plus it's free)
There are afew tricks you might need if you use the mouse but I'm sure you know them.
If you have any other questions I'd be more than happy to answer, although I'm still learning

ah cool most people I've asked have used SAI , it seems very good for making dark cloudy effects I've seen at least c:
I'm currently using an app called SketchBookX, it was advertised to me on devaintart actually, it's very nice and convenient to draw with whilst traveling or busy c: I would usually use photoshop, photoshop is like my origins the first digital program I used properly, and just one day I got bored of it and found SketchBookX and now I'm just going around trying new programs to see which is easier and kinda suites me a little ^u^
hmm I think I may of heard of Gimp it rings a bell there, I'm sure I have lol but thanks for reminding me of it

yeah that's a problem with it, it's only good if you can draw in small spaces or if you have an iPad or an iPad mini cuz they're big screened c:
ah photoshop I don't know the best one to use but I use Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 if that's any help to you at all

maybe like when I got photoshop you just gotta save for it and try buy the best one so it's worth it, and then keep it forever it'll be worth it, the Cs6 might be a lot better than Cs5 c:

There different types of tablets some have screen so you can draw that way. (These are usually expensive) Or the more common ones were you just draw on your tablet and it appears on your screen |D . It has sensitivity so you can put different pressures on it, giving your work a more natural look, plus the tablet it's self is sorta like drawing on paper (It not smooth at all when you use the pen on it)
Well the only place I can get it from is Ebay but even then it's too much, I might just go for Manga studios or wait awhile and save up. Alot of people say it's alot better than the Cs5, so maybe it's worth waiting for c;

Ah I see ^u^ the whole sensitivity thing sounds cool, like the softer you press the lighter the lines are, on my SketchBookX I use you have to keep changing the opacity of it to make the pencil line look lighter or bolder. I think the tablet might just be a lil hard for someone like me though, I always press hard when I use a pen or pencil lol XD eBay is usually a great place for buying things a lil cheaper than the stores but some people put some stuff on there at ridiculous prices it's mad :/ well I would agree with what the people say usually if they make another version of a program it's got to be much better than the older version, it's up to you if you which you wanna buy in the end, but whichever one it is make sure it's worth your money and will last you a very long time

I'm the same when it comes to pressing hard on it but there are settings so that you can make it less sensitive, however with Sai it usually has to be due to it not picking up.
Plus you don't know if it is genuine or not. I guess the best thing to do is to test the trail versions and see if it is any good or not.

Yea like I was really keen on getting Steam for my laptop so a friend had to download it for me lol, I'm very cautious and my laptop has loads of important stuff on it, I should back it up really

SAI isn't free I'm afraid, The only one I know is free is GIMP (But I'm sure there are more) but even then it took me months before getting it due to my computer warning me it was a virus (Which it isn't

Hmm usually I save stuff as png but I think ever of them will do, unless the contest states otherwise.
Also as a quick tip adding texture can help sometimes, it may give it the pop out affect x3

No problem, I was looking at images of him and his hair is very dark but the drawings of him look bright (I think because it would look odd/out of place with the rest of him), but I guess it depends on sunlight and what not |D

Well, he's had his driving license for 3 months but he's only got his MOT last week sooo yah 0u0
Yea his hair is quite dark, I've been messing about with the colours but I can't seem to make a darker brown than the one I got, no matter how much I change it, it'll either look like a redish brown or a dark red :/

haha xD It's okay it took me a while to learn about car stuff too X3 An MOT is when they make sure every component within and outside of your car is working, for examples if they find that a headlight isn't working, a seat belt does not click into it's place or a car door has trouble opening and closing they will say that the car is not suitable to be on the road, and then usually they will tell you what is wrong with your car and you will have to pay for it's repairs SO then it can have another MOT test and if everything works fine then they will allow you to drive it on the road again
