My entry for contest, I was going to do a strip comic but I feared it was too romantic? (Which is not what I wanted but best to be safe than sorry right?) So look I finally made something for a contest! :'DAnyway I decided to draw Scar because well he looks/sounds cool! I noticed that he can get pretty scary when mad so I was aiming for that effect. Wanted to give a slight angle as well as add blur to the character (To give that sort of motion movement ).
Anyway I hope you all enjoy and please no harsh comments cx

Oh man, this is badass, he looks so WICKEDDD (If you weren't sure you could've always asked me dude, I don't mind ya know? ^^ With that said though, now I'm REALLY curious what you had in mind for that comic strip)
Seriously though, the way you portrayed my boy right here is just . He has a good heart but yeah lol he can be terrifying when he's angry and honestly when I first saw this I was really impressed at just how well you managed to make him look so eerie and intimidating! Another thing I really like in this is the background because it's simple but effective, the light-dark gradient adds a punch. Overall great work, and thank you for entering! (I was scared that you wouldn't make it in time tho ha ha) Best of luck, Blue!

Ah yes I knew of his good heart and I was tempted to do something along that line but then I saw the part on how scary he could be if angered and well challenge was accepted~ I'll admit I was debating on adding Val but I felt it would be too much (You have no idea how much I wanted to draw those two together, friend wise.).
Background I was a little worried on as it seemed empty but then I though it would put the main focus on your boi Scar and so I added the fire effect in the background to give reason for his out burst.
Haha honestly I was scared too but this was one contest I didn't want to miss out on!

What you've done here is really great and I love it but oml, I saw that comic and I swear I screamed IT'S SO GOOD oml. I think I'll have to include it in the contest as well or give an honourable mention or do SOMETHING because it's too fantastic to pass up.
Hell yes, the background really adds to it and the fact that light is behind him adds to the atmosphere a lot too because it doesn't quite reach his face and makes him look scary.

I did alot with that comic (Well more research than anything), I just couldn't think of one scene of them in, and I practically killed two birds with one stone, Scar with his love of hugs and Val with her books and astrology. Well I shall finish it some day then, defiantly won't be done for the contest but hell call it a gift for the comic you do c:
Yes the lighting played a big part in making him look intimidating, I avoided the dark as much as I could simply for reason of being able to see.

I can tell you've puts loads of work into it, I still keep getting surprised at all the detail! Oh man that would be great, but as you can tell I'm happy with even this ha ha.
Exactly. I got the advice of my friendo, and now we have the answers! We tried to judge them as fairly as we could but the great thing is, I'm going to give everyone a prize, regardless of whether they won or not.
Btw, would you be ok with me showing that comic you made? Just want to double check and if not that's ok as well.

Yeah, I feel that all of the efforts should be rewarded. Nah, not really lol, we didn't have a whole lot of people in the contest, which is kind of good because if it were like...say, 50 people. I probably couldn't do the same.

Ah no, don't worry 'bout it, I've got everything covered. Well actually my PC started acting up so it'll delay them a bit but I hope I have 'em soon enough. ;^^
Maybe for the better lol. And side note, but I feel really bad that like two people joined yours because I was really excited to see what scenarios people would come up with, especially because of the theme.
Ha ha, MAGIC! I'm trying to come with easter eggs or something to put in the background for fun but as of late I've put that on the backburner to focus on the quality of the backgrounds.
