So I fixed a few things with the picture, but I KNOW YOU GUYS if I took down the other one people would say "I liked the old one better" lol So I am putting both versions up. I did as I said and fixed a lot of the background, and I am a lot happier with it now. And Dogmeat is there! Everyone loves the dog
Fallout 4 is copyright to Bethesda studios. I hope you all like this version as well. Thanks everyone. And no my friend hasn't gotten his let's play up yet, but I'm going to help him so it will get done faster lol. If you mean big expensive 3D games, then I do enjoy the open world when done WELL, not Ubisoft crappy open worlds XD
I also liked DBZ Xenoverse which kind of is and isn't. 7 Days to Die, Metal Gear Solid 5's game play (not that story)
But when it comes to retro it is very different because the experience is different, like a shooter game in pixel retro style is very different then a call of duty, saying that, I enjoy almost all famous retro games, you name it I probably played it
I do got to ask tho, the pixel style you are using for your game? Is it based on Castlevania?

Everyone is giving Ubisoft slack now LOL!!! I get it though... Last couple of titles they've produced have been head scratching-ly bad...
DBZ games have always had a place in my heart since I'm a die hard fan of the anime series. I played every game except for the Xenoverse games, but hopefully when they add Uub or Majuub to the roster, I'll take a peek at it. The only MGS game I've played was the original on the NES. It was a tough one to play IMO.
To answer your question, It is but not really??? If that explains anything lol!!! I was really trying to emulate the pixel art of Metroid mixed with Zelda II: The Adventure of Link... Not sure if I achieved that in hindsight. Castlevania was most definitely an influence towards gameplay elements. I had hope to make a platform game that was as challenging and fun to play like Castlevania... Boy, did I have fun playing that as a lad

Ubisoft has turned into "Play it 'safe'" formula company" They make the same game over and over with a check list of objectives, awful stories with unlikable people in them just different scenarios.... ugh XD Sometimes they will put out something good, like Far Cry but it's far and in between.

Looking back at the original and this one, you've made some really nice improvements to this! The background is a lot more detailed and cleaner overall and the addition of the dog was really nice.
I gotta mention now, but the detail on the character is really superb, especially around the gun and Pipboy areas. Overall, a great improvement on the original and a fantastic image overall.

That's cool of you to do something like this dude. Not just for the sake of Fallout 4 being super popular right now but alongside that the whole way you present the two versions to keep fans happy. Know a friend who does that still on the DA to this day and it actually pays off very well.
Kudos to the whole setup here being so familiar and also as grand as the original. Think what makes it the most here is the work no the background and the whole scenery of the ruined wasteland having to make up majority of your picture. Here you do splendid to show the work on your background and the time spent on everything like the different colors, the dying trees, cracked road and even the rolling blue sky.
As much as the eye does wander on our lovely Vault Girl, will point out some very pro work is done on her whole outfit and the way she looks back to greet her Dogmeat coming up right behind her. Your perspective seems spot on with the Dogmeat and making it look like an actual dog too, well done sir. Even like the simple walk/stride she has in her hips and big fat WOW on the attention to the details of the Pipboy as well as the Energy Weapon.
This must have taken some time to make perfect because I can't find anything wrong with it and every inch of it shows the time and depth that video game developers use to sell their game in the first place. You done good turtle man, you've done good! *pipboy thumbs up*

Oh boy was it hard, I had to "not draw it" because if I drew it, it would look like a cartoon, so I had to etch away at it, it was very difficult. Oh thank you, yeah that Pipboy and Laser Rifle were some of my most elaborate pieces of art I ever did. I hope people love it

Dogmeat! The perfect companion in the wasteland! Loyal, super fierce, and doesn't suddenly shout for no reason while you are sneaking. I'm looking at you Piper. It's cute, but don't give me a heart attack. D:
The first version was really cool with the lone Vault Dweller. But this is nice too. With the addition of Dogmeat, it doesn't feel as lonely now. I think it kinda makes the pic look more exciting actually. It's always more fun setting out on an adventure with someone IMHO.

He is dude! I do like to use him but I have been spending time with all of them. lol Yeah Piper won't stop talking, she is sort of cute in that way I agree it is far far less lonely compared to the old ones, everyone is hanging out with you it's more like a club. lol
