Description
I was actually just doodling, but then I had so much fun with this and thought, I really should try something I haven't done before. So this is what came out.I didn't have an idea about any concept when I started - like I said, just doodling. Sometimes I think my muse is superstitious; I wasn't informed about the painting's meaning before it was already half done.
So in case you'd like to know my view of it: Severus, somewhere between the two worlds - magical- and muggle-world; and nowhere really; somehow holding on, but the inevitable about to happen - being swallowed by the gap
(btw: I was constantely humming 'stuck in the middle with you' as the drawing process was nearing the end. xD)
Gee, I love trying out new stuff
no copyright infringement intended!
Done in Gimp (as always) and way quicker than I would have thought.

Harry merged himself into the wizarding world pretty quickly though
And Hermione too!

they did. but I guess they never tried to deny their connection with the muggle world. It's probably a matter of personality. There's no actual problem if they don't *see* it as a problem.

exciting composition and great color exploration really. Like several other people here, I can definitely see an Alice and Wonderland sort of aspect to this! Great hand btw!

I am getting a little speechless with your ability to illustrate these incredible, psychological Snape tableaux. In the first place, I love your ability to come up with innovate interpretations of the character. But when you can actually illustrate them effectively . . .
. . . . . . THAT'S FREAKING AWESOME.

Your art and ideas are always interesting! It looks like he's losing his grip on muggle world, whereas the fist clenching magical world is tightening!

At first, it reminded me of Alice in Wonderland! Visually powerful!
As for the concept, I think he never had doubts about those worlds: he always belonged to the magical world; despite his origins, he clearly made a choice and lived his whole life as a pure wizard. Even in Spinner's end, there's no trace of muggle-ness (elf made wine, use of wand, hidden staircases that opens by magic, old wizarding books covering the walls floor to ceiling)...
An interesting view, but in my opinion it was another gap that swallowed him, one that had nothing to do with his blood in the physical sense, and everything to do with his 'blood' meant as 'temper'...

I too think, personally he refused to even look in the direction of the Muggle-world; but I also think a part of him stayed there and yet in no world really. (wow, I'm making so much sense again.
+grins+) About the temper: (I can't enunciate today.
)
Many thanks!
