Description
It is quite nice outside, I have heard,But how to trust that one little word?
Because, outside, danger lurks,
And so I stay with what I know works.
Outside, there is dancing and light.
Inside, there is no need to fight.
Outside, I see smiles and kind eyes.
Inside, no need to worry that they tell lies.
In the shadows, I'm still not alone
For there are many who call this realm home.
No one quite prepared to say
That yes, in fact, they areβ¦

Heh... I'm out to three people IRL and on one online community... actually I think this is the first actual admission I've made on DA
I'm ready to come out... but I think my subconscious is trying to tell me something... I mean, I set up a desk in my IRL closet, along with paintings and lights, so I can stay in there all day

Only my very close friends know IRL, but the internets Anon enough that I don't mind saying it. But if it came to telling my family....well, some of them don't even like that I'm vegetarian, I think they'd faint if I came out....
Well, good luck when you do!

Ugh... Sometimes people are stupid. Oh well. "Those that matter won't care, and those that care won't matter," is what someone I was talking to on another site said the other day
So far it's been going good Thanks

When I at last exited the 'realm', using your euphemism, I was already in my late forties. Only when I did could I truly taste the sweet nectar of freedom. I love your poetry. It is lyrical and poignant all at the same time.

Aww sweet little poem. I love the rhymes! I always find it hard to write them, but them I'm more into prose, well done!
