Description

This isn't an easy or a fun decision to make, but it does take a load off my shoulders saying it. I owe a lot to the dsmp for bringing me back into Minecraft as much as it did and it was a lot of fun to contribute to that when the fandom was smaller, but as it gets bigger and my own community grows, the paranoia has been getting to me. For every negative comment I get on a dsmp piece, I get maybe 3 positive ones, and even though I delete them, they still have an impact on my well-being. The thought that I don't have control over what I get to post and that I need to please everyone's standards is super stressful and I just want to make what makes me happy again.

I will still be perusing the dsmp fandom and faving other people’s stuff, as well as creating Hermitcraft content since we’ve not received harassment for the things we made for that world. I’ll still make Dreamnap and Skephalo stuff from time to time for personal reasons as well, but I’m going to be staying away from creating stuff inspired by that smp. (unless someone pays me to draw it, cause I would sellout for that, commissions are open)

I’ll be finishing some old WIPs that have sat collecting dust, and I have a Skephalo fic and my Crowza fic that I’ll still be writing, and I have a Ghostbur PMV that I want to make, and I have some old stuff I might still upload, but other than those I’ll be backing away from the fandom as far as content creating goes. Who knows, maybe I'll still do some fanart of canon events using canon designs, but I no longer want to put my creativity into designing a character I can't fully use.

I’ll be making reference sheets for the new characters I’ll be creating! I feel more comfortable treating these characters as OCs than as some kind of reflection of a content creator, because the stories I've made have outgrown what can be called fanart. I’ve been feeling like my art sucked lately and this is the first time in a long time I’ve actually been excited to make art! I’m really looking forward to making stories with this. Hope you all will support me in this new step as you did before!
