Description
Someone died today. It was a murder most foul.
But was it deserved?
The innocent bystanders
Cried out, "stop!"
"Nobody deserves this!"
But blow after blow rained down
Until life ebbed away
In the flowing crimson tide.
What causes such an act?
Barbaric violence
Raw emotion
Unrelenting.
Some said the victim was innocent
Slain by the hand
Of those without moral.
Some said it was inevitable
A result of getting involved
In the business of others
In which they did not belong.
Debate would rage
For the longest time
But only the victim would ever know
Their true intentions
The reason for their passing.
It was too late to ask
And so people guess
What it must have been like
To be in someone else's shoes.
But ladies and gentlemen
Someone came forth
Who claimed to know
The disturbing truth.
The people gathered round
Eager to know
Ravenous
In the face of tragedy.
And on this day
A startling tale was told:
I can still see
The look in your eyes
That you showed me so long ago.
I saw that look again
On this fateful day when
I became your victim.
My name is Hope.
The murderer was you.
