Description Hurried footsteps approach
The Man turns, anticipating the news
"What have you to report?"
The messenger catches his breath
Wipes his forehead
Glistening with sweat
"Visual sensory apparatus reports image disturbance
A blurring effect
Caused by a sudden leak of lubrication fluids"
The Man's mind races
How did this happen?

Before he has time to think
The radio beeps
The Man answers
"Engine room, report"
The crackling distant voice from the other end
Delivers a damning verdict
A stark assessment
That leaves The Man's blood running cold
"It's odd, sir
The structure has not ruptured
Chambers seem fine, sir
Pumps are still operating
But the central system is reporting catastrophic failure"

The Man clicks the radio off
As he scratches his head
There is just no internal reason
For the systems to fail
Sensors report no external collision
And yet here in the processing center
Constant alerts and alarms

The Man makes the decision
To consult another
The one who dwells below
'Self Operating Utility Level'

Apprehensively, The Man explains
A detailed account of the system failures
Desperately he asks
"Why?"
The reply he recieves
Begins to make sense

"I understand your confusion."

"The answer is not to be found
In engineering or science or math."

"He cries because his heart is broken."

Thankyou so much :3 That really means a lot to me :] I was just trying to aim for a seperation between the biological and the emotional, and to make the biological to seem more mechanical. A suggestion about the actions of people today, perhaps :]
