My personal favorite Sonic game.

I get why people hate it and why it’s a bit controversial, but I love the open level design and the multiple ways to get the good ending.

The special stages are a bit janky, but are fun enough to not hate. Metal Sonic is the best Sonic rival in his history. Even with Shadow and Knuckles later on.

And the music is an ear orgasm! Definitely a great title and it really suck the remake was taken down off the App Store and subsequently replaced with another glitchy, buggy, overpriced mess that was Sonic Origins.
