Description
Stanley was very excited, he would be working with Percy at the docks. Stanley liked helping, especially helping his friends. “I’m sure Percy would be delighted to see me, oh we haven’t spoken to each other in quite a while, yes.”Stanley rolled into the dock. He was heading to where Percy was, but then he found a large create in his way. “Oh my my!” Stanley chuffed, “how ever will I get threw.” He looked around and spotted Cranky. “Um excuse me?” Stanley called out. “What is it?” Cranky demanded. “Their seems to to be something blocking my path” Stanley said patiently, “I request you move it, please?” Cranky was pleased, “eh sure, I like you.” Cranky moved the crates to the other side of the track. Stanley gave a polite whistle, and puffed away.
As Stanley rolled away from Cranky, Salty was their and he didn’t looks so cheery. “What’s they matter?” Stanley asked. “Aye, I’ve got a great tale to tell, but everybody’s to busy to hear it!” Salty sobbed. “Well, I’m not in a rush!” Stanley puffed, “I would love to hear your story.” Salty perked up, “really matey?” He asked, “you would?” Stanley then nodded. “Arg” Salty shouted, “then I’ll tell you the tale of old rocky the blue bell!”
~it all started on a night like any other, Rocky the blue bell was hard at work. He was pulling a train full of food and supplies for the natives, but one night, it had rained a terrible rain. The tracks were slippery and Rocky’s wheels raddled and squeaked. Old Rocky wasn’t really to give up, not yet. He braved the mountain as hard as he could, but then, a bolt of lightning struck the tracks and Rocky found himself tumbling down the side of the cliff. He was on the ground with the now ruined goods, but if that wasn’t enough, the cliff crumbled and cracked. Until it gave way and buried him alive. Ever since that tragic day, no engine came across that old mountain track ever again.~
As Salty finished, Stanley was spoked, but very pleased. “I say, that story is frightening, but great.” “Aye, thank matey.” Salty oiled. Stanley rolled away again.
After a minute, Stanley came across Percy. “Where have you been?” Percy asked, “you should have been here an hour ago.” Stanley sighed, “sorry Percy, I was just taking my time.” “Well you took to long, now I will be late.” Stanley looked down, but then got an idea. Stanley perked up, “how about you take that line and I can the other.” “Really Stanley?” Asked Percy, “but won’t you be late for your job?” Stanley rolled his eyes, “I don’t mind, anything for a friend.”
The two friends arrived quickly to yards, “just in time” called the yard manager. Percy was pleased and Stanley smiled with gleaned, he knew he had done a good days work.
