I've learned -tons- about framing up shots in the journalism class I took a few years ago, the appreciation of film class I took last year, and in media this year.
I wasn't trying too hard to get a great shot with this, because with the camera I have it's not even really worth it. Imagine what I could do with a -decent- camera.

That's exactly my point. Get into photography, and get a badass camera, and make badass photos.
