I came across some old sketches I did of older looking Zimmy for a story idea that never got far cus my story telling skills are lacking. Kinda took my interest so I just remade it to look a little.. Not so hideous. :]Hahahaaaa.
I kinda really Like it despite the fact I get seriously weirded out by Zim wearing something other than his Invader uniform.
Thinking about pursuing that story idea but I still have never finished my AND comic so I'm feeling awkward about it. :I
I think the shadow might be a bit off. Besides the fact its completely not his shadow the angle seems bad. Doesn't help I refused to make any other shading cus i just didn't care. x'D

You seriously have a special power for making Zim and Dib appear more mature. 
Personally, I enjoy drawing Zim in different clothing. Though it is extremely fun to mess around with his uniform every now and again, I can see where you're coming from concerning 'getting weirded out when Zim doesn't wear his uniform'. It does look a little odd, but it just opens more opportunities. ^^
I really like the shadow... It's kinda creepy, almost like there's a devil side of Zim that, 'doesn't show very often'.

Hahaha. I do indeed tell stories in my deviation descriptions. It amuses me every time.
