Description
the sixth illustration for the A Storm In Heaven series, except for the painting piece. As a reminder, the series illustrates the 10 songs from my favourite record and an overall piece. You can see them all below.about this particular piece.. i simply wanted to represent what a beautiful mind is to me. a person with a beautiful mind is the person capable of brilliance, a person with outstanding ideas, a person that can think out of the box. i hope you'll enjoy this!

thank you kindly for the critique! i wasn't really referring to her mind as the beautiful mind in the picture. i quite often use the withered tree as a symbol for the human mind. the butterflies are supposed to suggest the stretching of the mind. maybe it would have been more suggestive if the tree rose out of her head. yet again, thank you!

Wow! I love the unusual composition and angle. It makes my head spin!
The colours are wonderful, the blending of the green foreground and blue sky.
The model is wonderful, the skin is almost touchable its blended so well.
The hair is awesomeley painted (jealousy) and there's a wonderfull realistic shadow on the ground where the model is making it seem as though the model was always there.
I adore the concept and this that this is a wonderful representation of a beautiful mind.
One thing i would say, is that even though i love the tree and the butterflies, the tree itself seems a little one dimensional compared the the multi-tonal layers of the rest of the piece. However, i think within the piece it suits very well.
Gorgeous, good job. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

thank you for the wonderful critique! while i do agree the tree is one dimensional i actually wanted it that way. the tablet helped a great deal with the details. i'm so glad you noticed them! thank you once again!

Hehe no problem and yes i love the branches of the tree and i love its 1-Dness it was the trunk that stuck out a tiny bit. Other than that i can't fault it.
