Sometimes in comics, anime, etc you have a time skip. So characters you know age and train off screen. So this is jus an experiment with one of my kid heroes. Present day 10 year old Princess gets sucked into a time a portal and meets her older self(late teens). Not only does she not know she's traveled through time she also doesn't recognize her older self.
Princess: Hey lady I like your hair and costume! Are you a new hero?
Princess(Teen):Uh thank you, no I've been around for a while. (Oh this is the day that happened)
Princess: That's funny I thought I knew all the active teen heroes. What's your hero name? What powers do you have? Did you make that glowing portal? Why do you look my mom?
Princess(Teen): Oh boy that's a lot questions. ( I got to me back in the portal, time travel always screws things up)
