Description
As she lay there she felt neither the burning cold of the snow or the wet hotness of blood pouring out of her head. All she felt was the fear. She was alone. She didn’t want to die alone; she wanted a comforting presence by her side. She was so scared. She could hear herself breathing and her heart pumping. The forest was dark this winter night. She couldn’t call for help for her voice had long since left her.

Suddenly she saw him. A man completely dressed in black with pale skin and long, dark hair. His eyes seemed kind yet do sad and a small smile graced his lips. He just looks at her. He doesn’t help her but she feels safe. Everything is going to be all right, she knows this. He looks at her and then he leans down and holds out his hand. The girl laughs inside herself and wonders if he’s blind. She has no chance of moving. Then she feels herself grab his hand and then she’s standing in front of him. He smiles at her. She suddenly feels tears travelling down her cheeks. He takes the hand that’s not holding hers and cups her face and looks straight into her eyes, willing her to smile. She gives him a shaky smile. He breaks eye contact with her and looks over her shoulder with a disturbed look. She turns to see what he’s looking at but he stops her and shakes his head. His hand is still on her cheek and he lifts her head once more and kisses her lips softly. He then drops the hand that was on her face and she suddenly feels very tired. He takes a dark red rose and throws it in the direction he was looking. She just wants to crawl into a nice bed. He gives her a small smile, squeezes her hand and they start walking into the dark.
