Description Finally made a background and "finished" the artwork. This is like my 11th version of that last WIP. I like the water, and how the light reflects off the wood. Although Triton look's all dignified, the background suggest he's in the brig of a sinking ship! I just started out with a wood background and some water, didn't really know what I was drawing. Let's just take it as a large ship with large planks he's standing next to.

Anyway, this is supposed to be Triton, the godly son of Poseidon and his wife Amphithrite(I'm not sure I spelled that right). The Percy Jackson books had him all fishlike with a scaly tail and blue skin and seaweed hair. I didn't think that form fitted with the general theme of Percy Jackson, so I thought I'd design a more modern version of Triton, maybe a form to walk amongst humans. (although I'd imagine he spends all day in his underwater palace, more comfortable with sea creatures). I know Poseidon is supposed to be Middle Aged, and Triton looking older than him is weird, but gods must have more than one form...so I thought I'd give him the "old sailor" look.

Oh thank you...I wouldn't of noticed it was missing a "d" until you told me. Thanks for commenting.
