(Resident Evil vs Metal Gear)

Connections : Both are legendary special forces operatives known for saving the world from doomsday weapons, that slowly became more jaded and disillusioned with the institutions they served. With both FOXHOUND and the BSAA becoming corrupted, these operatives decided to form their own independent splinter groups (Philanthropy and the rogue Hound Wolf Squad) to continue their crusade against Metal Gear/BOW threats. They still maintain their morals and dedication to their cause. But you can tell by MGS4 and RE8 that they've grown weary after so many years of never-ending battle, and watching so many beloved comrades (particularly Frank Jaeger and Piers Nivans) perish.
